Creative Self-Expression

Welcome to something new.

With over 43 years of professional experience in nursing, midwifery, health visiting and a 33 year journey as a counsellor and coach, I dedicated my life to helping individuals find physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My path has evolved from hands-on care to a holistic approach, with continuous learning. I have always been focused on bringing spiritual and creative health together into my practice, guiding clients toward a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them.

My integrative therapy, was based predominantly on a psychodynamic and systemic approach. The advantage of this approach is that it works both inside and out. Other aspects of my counselling background is informed by person centred, solution focused and cognitive behavioural therapy approaches.

Today, I wish my work to focus on spiritual and creative self-expression, integrating these elements to support holistic healing.

One way to do is this is through writing. I have personally journalled for over 46 years. This has been a huge benefit in developing resilience and wellness through many stresses, changes and traumas. It has supported me in my soul work, and journey.

My focus now is to explore spiritual coaching in helping people to connect with their deeper selves and life purpose and their spiritual health, where people can self express through art, writing and other creative outlets as a pathway to healing.

Creative healing is there to honour the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit where it is rooted in compassion, understanding that each individual’s path is unique.

It is often through personal challenges that is an opportunity to unlock an inner wisdom, particularly through creative self-expression and cultivate a spiritual well-being that aligns your life with your deeper values.

My special areas of work in the past has been in grief counselling- supporting through the process of pain associated with grief in a sensitive and compassionate way to readjust following a bereavement. So the new work we will be working together in will take this important work in.
